The method
Plot both badges. For each candidate pocket, drive both commutes at each person's real hours — the corridor's highways make crow-flies distance a liar — and score the pocket on the weighted sum: multiply each drive by its weekly frequency (hybrid schedules change everything; a 3-day badge counts 60% of a 5-day one). Then add the third commute households forget: the school run, if that's your chapter.
The classic pairings, pre-worked
Westlake + logistics spine: the canonical pair — the compromise band runs Northlake, north Keller, and the spine's northern streets, exactly as the relocation guide sketches. Westlake + DFW Airport: the 114 corridor is your shared artery — Roanoke and eastern Northlake sit on it for both. Spine + downtown Fort Worth: both live on 35W, so the spine itself and Heritage serve both directions — at the cost of both sharing 35W's peaks. Anything + shift work: re-run the weighting with real clocks; off-peak shifts widen the map so much they often dissolve the problem entirely.
