North FW Livingthe alliance corridor field guide

Guides · The first 90 days

Moved in is not the same as landed. The first quarter is the landing.

The move ends; the settling starts. Here's the corridor's first ninety days, sorted by what has deadlines, what has seasons, and what just has value.

Has deadlines

The Texas admin sequence — vehicle within 30 days, license within 90, voter registration ahead of any election you care about. Owners: homestead exemption filed. New-build owners: the warranty log started and the eleventh-month inspection calendared now, while closing adrenaline still exists.

Has seasons

Your house's first quarter teaches its personality: the first storm reveals drainage, the first heat wave reveals the HVAC's honesty and starts the foundation-watering habit (yes, that's real), the first electric bill grades your plan choice. Log what each season teaches — it's your maintenance map and, someday, your seller's documentation folder.

Just has value

One town event from the calendar attended per month; the districts worked through deliberately; neighbors met before the wave-only equilibrium sets in — the corridor relocates so constantly that "we just moved here" is a conversation opener for years. Renters: day 75 of a 12-month lease is quietly day zero of renewal season prep. Compiled August 2026.
